How are the sculptures made, what are they made from and who makes them?

All Futuretro sculptures are individually handcrafted by the artist, using the highest quality, sustainable materials.

Where are the sculptures made?

In our workshop in Farnham, Surrey, UK.

How long do the sculptures take to make?

Usually between 6 to 8 weeks.

What’s the process for a bespoke sculpture?

There will be a design consultation with the artist to determine the specifications for the sculpture. We will then provide a proposal outlining the design for discussion. Once you have approved the design, work will commence as soon as possible, and we will advise you of the delivery date.

When will my sculpture be delivered?

As soon as possible after completion, at a time convenient to you.

Who will deliver and install my sculpture?

The artist and his assistant.

How long will installation take?

It will usually take a few hours, but we dedicate a day for each installation to allow for all eventualities.

What type of wall is required to mount the sculpture?

The sculpture will need to be mounted on a wall constructed from brick, concrete, or solid wood.

Where can’t a wall sculpture be mounted?

Due to the nature of the design and materials used, the sculptures cannot be positioned above a heat source, such as a radiator or fireplace. Cavity walls/drywalls made from plasterboard or gypsum board are not suitable. Also, they cannot be mounted in a damp environment, such as a bathroom or outside.

Does Futuretro supply all fixtures and fittings to install the sculptures?

Yes, we will make sure that we know what is required when we talk with you about delivery and installation.

What type of power supply is required for the sculptures?

A 240-volt mains supply is needed. For countries with different mains voltage, we can specify the correct transformer that is required.

What is required to use the control app?

The app can be installed on any smart enabled device. We will do this for you during the installation, as well as show you how to operate it.

How do the sculptures sense sound?

There is a precision microphone integrated within each sculpture.

Are the sculptures expensive to run?

No, we use high efficiency, eco-friendly LEDs for all the light sources.

How are the sculptures cleaned and cared for?

Regular dusting is advised with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth or duster.

What happens if I experience a problem with my sculpture or the control app?

Can the sculptures be returned?

As each sculpture is individually handmade to order, upon delivery ownership passes to the customer and the sculpture cannot be returned. In the unlikely event of a fault with the sculpture, contact us and we will be pleased to assist.
